Answers to common questions about our dental services, treatments and oral care.

Home / FAQ

1) What services does your dental clinic offer?

We provide a wide range of dental services, including routine checkups, professional cleaning , fillings, crowns, bridges, teeth whitening, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, orthodontic care, and emergency dental treatment.

2) How often should I visit the dentist?

Most patients should visit the dentist every six months for a checkup and cleaning. Your dentist may recommend more frequent visits depending on your oral health needs.

3) Is professional teeth Cleaning necessary?

Yes. Brushing and flossing at home are essential, but professional Cleaning remove plaque and tartar that regular brushing cannot. Cleaning also helps prevent gum disease and tooth decay.

4) Is teeth whitening safe?

Professional teeth whitening is generally safe when performed or recommended by a dental professional. We will evaluate your teeth and gums first and recommend the most suitable whitening option.

5) What kind of toothbrush should I use?

A soft-bristled brush is ideal. Electric toothbrushes, when used properly, can offer better plaque removal than manual ones

6) What are the signs of a cavity?

Common signs include toothache, sensitivity, visible holes or pits in your teeth, and pain when you bite down. However, early cavities may not cause any symptoms, which is why regular check-ups are crucial.

7) Why do my gums bleed while brushing?

It’s usually a sign of gingivitis—an early stage of gum disease. It can also result from brushing too hard or using a hard-bristled brush.

8) How long do I need to wear braces?

Typically 1–3 years depending on the complexity. Follow-up retainers are essential afterward to maintain results.

9) Braces vs. Clear Aligners: Which is right for me?

Traditional braces consist of metal brackets and wires and are highly effective for correcting a wide range of orthodontic issues. Clear aligners, like Invisalign, are a series of custom-made, virtually invisible plastic trays that gradually shift your teeth into place. They are removable, but may not be suitable for all cases. A consultation with an orthodontist is the best way to determine the right option for you.

10) How long do dental implants last?

With proper oral hygiene, regular dental visits, and appropriate care, dental implants can provide a long-lasting solution. Their longevity varies from patient to patient depending on factors such as oral hygiene, general health, bone support, and lifestyle.

11) What are veneers and who can benefit from them?

Veneers are thin restorations designed to improve the appearance of teeth. They may be considered for concerns such as discolouration, minor shape irregularities, spacing, or certain cosmetic imperfections. A consultation is required to determine whether veneers are appropriate.

12) Are dental implants painful?

Dental implant procedures are performed under appropriate local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during the procedure. Some mild discomfort or swelling can occur afterward and is generally manageable with the prescribed medication and aftercare.

13) Can I improve my smile without braces?

Depending on the underlying concern, options such as clear aligners, veneers, bonding, whitening, or other cosmetic treatments may be considered. The right approach depends on your teeth, bite, gums, and desired outcome.
